air conditioning vents

Plastic 4 way blow air conditioning vents

Plastic air conditioning vents are the most common type of air conditioning vents used in ducted air conditioning systems. The plastic air conditioning vents have 4 biscuits. The biscuits can direct the air to move in 4 different directions. Also for ducted evaporative air conditioning systems, the air conditioning vents can be closed up in winter. The life span of an air conditioning vent is around 7-8 years. After this time the vent can become discoloured through the UV light entering your home. We also sell replacement plastic clips in case you have breakages. There are many different sizes of vents. Because plastic vents are used in both ducted reverse cycle air conditioning systems. And also ducted evaporative air conditioning systems. We also sell replacement vent clips

circular air conditioning vent

Circular Diffuser

Plastic Circular diffusers are used for ducted reverse cycle air conditioning systems. So they give a different atheistic look to a standard 4 way blow air conditioning vent. The centre of the circular diffuser screws out and in to control the amount of air entering the room. The circular diffuser is available in 4 different sizes. Therefore A Circular diffuser can be very easily fitted. Because they have springs clips fitted on the circumference which makes for easy installation.

Ducted gas heating systems use a plastic circular down jet diffuser. Circular down jets are designed to move the warm air down from the ceiling. The circular down jet diffusers are available in 4 different sizes. The circular down jet diffuser also has manual dampers fitted to the rear. Therefore this enables you to control the amount of warm air entering your room. We carry plenty of stock of the 2 most common sizes.

linear slot air conditioning vents

Linear slot diffuser

With the ever changing design of modern homes. Air conditioning vents sometimes have to fit in restricted spaces. A linear slot diffuser is designed to have a slimline modern look. The linear slot diffusers are used in bulkheads or dropped ceilings where space is limited. Therefore a normal ceiling vent would not fit. Linear slot diffuser is made of aluminium and has a white powder coat finish. It will also be more robust than a plastic air vent. The linear slot diffuser is a lot more expensive than your standard plastic air conditioning vent.

Linear bar grille air conditioning vents

Linear Bar Grille

A Linear bar grille is similar to a linear slot diffuser. My personal opinion is, A bar grille looks a more stylish diffuser. Linear bar grilles add a more stylish and pleasing aesthetic look to your ducted air conditioning system within your home. So the bar grille is extremely versatile. They can be mount in a ceiling bulkhead or wall. Linear bar grilles can have special boots made up to suit any application. Aluminium bar grilles have a white powder coat finished. Several different sizes are available. The bar grille is also removable core which makes installation very easy.

Aluminium air conditioning vents

Aluminium ceiling diffuser

Commercial air conditioning applications and high end domestic homes use Aluminium ceiling diffusers. White powder coating is the standard finish on the Aluminium ceiling diffuser. With many different styles and sizes available to meet your needs. An aluminium diffuser will not fade or break like your typical plastic air conditioning vent.  So the vents do cost more upfront but have a longer life span than the plastic air conditioning vents. As the old saying goes you get what you pay for. Aluminium air conditioning vents cost more. Because they use a metal adaptor to connect the flexible ducting. They also have a white powder coat finish as standard. Enabling a longer life.

Replacing air conditioning vents

Replacing the ceiling vents in your home or office can be a very simple task. I regularly have people come into the factory. They want to replace faded and discoloured plastic aircon vents. Plastic vents will start discolouring after 7-8 years. Also, plastic ceiling vents can be easily replaced by using a ladder inside your home. There is no need to get in the roof space. The cost will depend on the number of vents that need replacing.

Cost of air conditioning vents

Many different things affect the cost of ducted air conditioning vents. Such as what the air vent is made out of. For the domestic Perth home, they are typically made out an abs plastic. Prices would start off at $20.00 each and go up to $75.00. Each manufacturer will have there own size vent size. The metal air vents also know as diffusers will start off at $60.00 each and depending on size and if it is a stock item the top end price can vary. Metal ceiling diffusers can be made to order if you are willing to pay the price.
